2016-2017 Montana 4-H Ambassador Officer team Challenge you!

2016-2017 Montana 4-H Ambassador Officer team Challenge you!

We, the Montana Ambassador Officer Team, challenge you and your county to participate in the second annual Montana 4-H Week of Service. This is an initiative to encourage Montana 4-H youth to make a positive impact within their communities and share what they are doing.
During the week of April 21-30, 2017 we encourage each county to join together and show how much of a difference 4-Hers can make through a project of your choice. These projects can be as simple as volunteering with a local organization or as extravagant as a full scale community wide project. Some projects are going to take longer than a week, and that’s great! Just try to wrap up your project by April 30th or implement a portion of the project during the week of April 21-30 (there is a little over one week in there to give a little extra time).
This year at Congress, we are going to acknowledge the counties that participate and post their pictures and videos online. Also, if you have a plan for your project and a group of people by Rec Lab you can order t-shirts to wear at your project. Click HERE to sign up and get your t-shirt!

We ask that groups spend some time and plan your project. Service learning resources are available on our website to help with the planning process. Get as many people involved as possible. You can work with other groups in your community. We encourage all Montana youth to participate in a project, as service learning is not limited to 4-Hers. We believe that through this project, we can make an impact for not only ourselves, but future generations.

We believe this community of youth has great potential, and our goal is to transform that potential into a movement. This Montana 4-H tradition in which 4-H’ers across the state participate and enjoy giving back to their communities helps display some of the most important values of 4-H. In the words of Howard Zinn, “Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.”
